My Bleach original character: Kenji Umehara in his Hollow-form.

Short Bio:
Kenji is Aizen Sōsuke’s first 'successful' attempt at creating an Arrancar. This process, unlike the finalized method, involved fusing a recently killed Shinigami and the recently-defeated spirit energy of a Hollow. This fusion created a result closer to Kurosaki Ichigo's Shinigami powers rather than the later Arrancar inductees, and by the same result he was highly underestimated and abandoned.

Keji was left as a sleeper-agent in Seireitei until such time as Aizen would call upon him to betray those around him. His mind was programmed at birth with fake memories and entered as a new recruit to the Squads, making him completely inconspicuous to the Shinigami around him. However, when the time came for Aizen to leave Seireitei he had found no use for his powers and left him there, like an abandoned experiment.

With Aizen in Hueco Mundo and the Soul Society in peril, it was deemed necessary to send a small squad in to scout. Kenji was part of this group and sent to Aizen's new fortress. After defeating a number of weaker opponents the group finally arrived in Aizen's main hall, but it was only then realized they had been allowed that far. With his familiar smirk, Aizen activated Keji's inner-programming and set him upon his squad-mates and friends. After turning into his Hollow-form and slaughtering them, Aizen thought it amusing to give his free-will back as a reward for being so strong.

Realizing what he had done, Kenji turned against Aizen and got in a fight with his new Arrancar. Able to take on two at once with his Hollow/Bankai ability to mimic opponents' weapons, the tides only changed when Ulquiorra joined the fray. Eventually Kenji was pinned and struck down. With his final words, he uttered a prophecy... that one day a Shinigami like himself, with a broken past, would rise up and destroy Aizen and his dreams...
And with that, he died.

I'm sorry about the colouring and roughness of this picture, but the colours had to be very subtle otherwise his light skin wouldn't blend well with the white of his lower-arms. I also accidentally coloured his hair slightly darker than I should have. To make up for my scanner draining the colour, I had to use a filter that made the picture a bit grainy. This isn't my best piece and it's an old picture, but I just wanted to get the colouring done and out of the way!
