Reluctantly she complied, on-edge as she approached his body. Unbeknownst to them a figure silently watched from the shadows of a nearby tree, taking special interest in Maya...

Reaching Mitsune, Maya also confirmed no pulse. A moment of relief went as quickly as it came when she sensed something nearby. She scanned the nearby tree, but nothing was there...

Hyatane approached Maya from behind, startling her as she was lost in her thoughts. Getting up, Hyatane began to walk away, Maya following suit...

I realised I completely nerfed Maya's face in the second-to-last panel, as well as the perspective. Don't worry though, as this Scroll of Dirge is coming to an end... You won't have to put up with these poor drawings for much longer!
